Press Ganey to Acquire Forsta, Integrating Healthcare Expertise into Powerful Platform

The Combined Organization Will Reach Millions of Organizations and Patients

Press Ganey, the South Bend, Indiana-based patient experience company and provider of healthcare software solutions, announced on February 7 plans to acquire Forsta, developer of the CX and market research technology platform headquartered in Boise, Idaho.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, but the deal, described by Press Ganey as an update to the technology and reach of its research services, is expected to close in the first or second calendar quarter of 2022.

The union will integrate Press Ganey’s thought leadership and management expertise in healthcare with Forsta’s human-centric experience and research technology platform. Press Ganey’s clients will have access to a more powerful suite of technology solutions on CX, employee experience (EX), and market research on Forsta’s comprehensive platform, according to a statement from Press Ganey.

For its part, Forsta will bring an extensive body of knowledge across a number of industry verticals, including retail, financial services, travel and hospitality, technology, entertainment, and consumer goods.

Patrick T. Ryan, chairman and CEO of Press Ganey, said the alliance propels the company into a new future. “Our unparalleled excellence in healthcare consulting, proprietary data, and analytics will soon be infused with even more innovation and speed by Forsta’s world-class experience and research technology platform,” Ryan remarked. “This is a huge leap forward in helping our customers to do their jobs better every day.”

For Forsta, teaming up with Press Ganey brings new access to investment, growth opportunities, and experience in deep consulting and change management across the complex healthcare ecosystem. Forsta will obtain resources from Press Ganey to continue innovation at an accelerated pace, and Press Ganey’s CX and EX capabilities in healthcare will equip Forsta with decades-spanning expertise in the healthcare vertical, a statement from Press Ganey noted.

Combined, Press Ganey and Forsta will possess a reach extending into millions of organizations. Press Ganey manages approximately 476 million patient engagements every year, while Forsta’s Human Experience (HX) platform serves more than 5,000 customers in over 100 countries around the world.

Darren Dworkin, chief strategy officer for Press Ganey, said the Forsta HX platform will allow Press Ganey to make a quantum leap in the technology solutions that are available for clients. “This move is the culmination of Press Ganey’s investments to not just be leaders in the healthcare industry, but to lead in experience technology, too,” Dworkin stated. “Together, the next generation of patient and customer experience will be better, deeper, and truly human-centric.”
